I have a Turner Wall accessory, has the blue and white sticker on the back. There was alson a smaller sticker on the back, but has worn off. The picture has a 3-d effect, about 30x20 in size. Gold and browns in color, has a fireplace with a kettle pot sitting on the fire wood, rifle just above the mantle, plates lantern and coffee pot sitting on the mantle, a grandfather clock to the right of the fireplace, a spinning wheel in front and a cat sleeping on a stool in front of the fireplace. The picture is in very good condition. Please send me information on this picture if possible, where I might find other similiar pictures, and vavue. Thank you, Sandy

Hello.

I hope I'm contacting the correct place, as I received your web address through the Chicago Public Library.

I have two framed pieces from Turner Wall Accessory and wanted to find out a bit about them. One has a blue and white 'tag' on it stating "This is a Turner Wall Accessory. This is one of hundreds of accessories manufactured by Turner Mfg Co. America's largest producer of decorative accessories for the home. Turner's staff of designers are constantly creating new types of decorator wall accessories to make your home smarter, brighter and lovlier. Look for the name TURNER on wall accessories."

There is another tag with reorder information on one of them as well, which states: ITEM # 699, SUBJECT & NAME: EAST WIND, SCHEDULE: T34.

There is also a blue stamp which reads: MADE IN USE and underneath the number: 36263 which is also in blue.

This is only on one of the framed pieces. The other one, which is basically matching has had the information taken off. Both look almost like cameo's, raised forms, with a lot of gold leaf looking designs surrounding them. I'm really hoping to get as much information on the pieces as I can, but there's no artist signature or any other information on them other than what I've given you.

I certainly hope I'm not bothering you with this request, but am sincerely hoping to get any information you might have, or if you could point me in the right direction. You may reach me by either replying to this email address, or at rjh_91@msn.com or my home telephone which is xxx-xxx-xxxx. Thank you for your time.

I don't know if you are aware of it, but it was [Laura Waxman's] father, Francis, who took over Turner Manufacturing Company. He bought out his brothers for peanuts and became a very wealthy man. He was the most financially successful of the family.

This Turner Wall Accessory was produced as a pair of Cameo style pictures called East Wind/West Wind. It was produced in Chicago, Il at the Turner factory where I worked between 1960 and 1975. I can't give you any more details, except to note that this pair of designs was produced by vacuum forming. That created the "relief effect". T34 stands for the production week 34 of the year. I've two pictures which have the blue paper sticker on the back indicating they are Turner Wall Accessories. I'm most definitely NOT looking for any personal information. I'm simply trying to date the items or get an approximation of when they were manufactured. I have re-order information for them, and what looks like an 'item' number stamped in blue ink on one (the blue paper sticker and other information is actually on only one of the pictures, but they are both from Turner Mfg Co, I'm sure, as their style is identical. They resemble cameo's, but obviously much larger, as the frames themselves measure 19 1/4" by 22 1/4". If there is any other information you need please don't hesitate to contact me at all - for any reason!

I tried to send you the pictures from my yahoo Elyon, but they just wouldn't load, so I'm sending them from my msn. Feel free to email at either address. Also, you and your family were so wonderful in helping me 'research' my pictures, I found an online auction place that was selling two more and bought those. Soon as I pick them up, you'll get some shots of those too! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Robin Thanks again for all your help!

Hello Elyon! I hope you got the images ok - couldn't find my old digital camera so just decided to get another and I'm not really all that familiar with it and how it functions. Anyway, I found 2 more pictures from Turner Mfg Co, and since I got a good price, had to get them... They are Courier and Ives pictures, both of them...hope you can make them out... Hope they're useful...and if you need better/clearer pictures of East Wind/West Wind, just let me know! I'm happy to help in any way! Have a great week! Robin
