Paging the DeKoven family

Maya is the oldest child of Elyon and Julie. She is also the oldest grandchild of Bernie and Rosanne.

Maya was born in San Diego, CA. When she was 2 months old, she moved to Israel, with her parents of course, where she lived for about a year. After that, she moved back to Palo Alto, CA, where she lived for less than a year before moving to The Netherlands.

Maya lived in The Netherlands for 5 years. She attended the Cheider in Buitenfeldert (near Amsterdam). Sometimes, she went to school on the back of her mother's bike (even in the snow!). She loved to make sneuwmeisjes (snow girls) and play in the sandbox across the street from her house.

Maya then moved back to California (again!), where she lived for one year, attending the Chabad of South Bay day school. She liked going to the beach, two blocks away from her grandparents' house, and going out for ice cream with her grandfather Bernie.

She now lives in Oak Park, MI with her little sister, Reina, and brother Zev. She attends the Bais Yaakov school for girls.
